Your Guide To Hawaii

If you’ve been following my adventures over the last few years, it’s no secret that Hawaii is one of my favorite places in the world. My husband and I try to visit the islands once a year because they have become our home away from home. I often get asked, “Why return to the same place every year?” The answer is simple. I have never travelled to an island where the nature makes me feel so small. We are greeted by warmth and kindness everywhere we go because “that’s the spirit of Aloha.” The food is infused with fresh, local flavors and there is never a shortage of breathtaking excursions to explore. The energy is different in Hawaii. Some say one of Earth’s chakra points is found there. It completely re-centers and refocuses me—something that everyone, especially New Yorkers stuck in the concrete jungle, can benefit from. When planning your trips to Hawaii, I highly recommend visiting Maui and Kauai. Oahu is fun, but it feels more like a big city, so I prefer to get …

Ti Amo Italia

When my husband and I began dating, we talked about our love for traveling, and said that Italy was one of the top destinations on our list. Two and a half year later, we turned that dream into a reality and I couldn’t feel more appreciative to have experienced this beautiful country together. From spending days taking in the ancient history everywhere we looked, to spending nights eating the most delicious local foods, to tasting the delicious homemade wines, it was clear that this was a trip to remember. We arrived in Rome on a Saturday morning and were greeted by one of our best friends, Kevin, who flew in from Brussels to join us for the weekend. After checking into our hotel, we immediately set out to see Rome. First on the list: eating homemade gnocchi, drinking red wine, and finding pistachio gelato. We were in heaven after tasting the flavors of Italy. We then made a wish and tossed a coin (standing backwards, as the legend tells us to) into the Fontana Di Trevi …

Love for NOLA

I finally visited a place I have been dying to check out for years: the beautiful New Orleans. One of my best friends Keri is getting married to an incredibly special person, and we took this weekend to celebrate her before the big day this fall.  The energy of NOLA is electric. Friday night we  started the evening at a traditional southern restaurant, which had their own home-made cucumber infused vodka…it was absolutely delicious! We bounced around town to some great bars with some of the most insanely talented bands and singers I have ever seen in my life. We danced the night away and walked around the famous Bourbon Street enjoying live music all around us. It was really cool to see so many true artists pouring their hearts and souls out into their music – I was in awe of the talent surrounding us!       Saturday we started the day by the hotel pool to soak in some NOLA heat and then checked out an incredible aquarium where we saw sharks, stingrays, …
