5 Must-Have Fall Pieces

Today I am sharing with you five pieces that I cannot be without this season. The best part? You can mix and match them all to achieve multiple looks. 1. Quilted Bomber Jacket Blazer, chino pants, woven, repeat. Do you ever get tired of figuring out what to wear because, all season long, you’re putting together the same uniform? Enter the Quilted Jacket. If chosen carefully, this piece can replace a blazer for a slightly sporty, yet equally elevated look. There are many different types of quilted jackets, but I gravitate towards the Bomber. The Quilted Bomber has a silhouette that accentuates your shoulders and makes your waist look trim. You can dress up the jacket like I did above, or wear it more casually with a v-neck tee and denim – you all know I live for a multi-purpose piece of clothing. I love this jacket from Penguin because it’s lightweight, has gray accents that makes the blue pop even more, and is made with little details (like the arm zipper) that gives one …

Easy Iron Shirts: H&M

It’s no secret I love finding great deals and while I may splurge on some items, I also try to find quality clothing at affordable price points when switching up my many different looks. H&M is a go-to store of mine so I was thrilled when they wanted to partner up to launch their new easy-iron collection.I am always on the hunt for tailored, soft button-downs. Many wovens feel starchy or itchy, so when shopping for these items, the material is important to consider. This slim-fit button down with a turn-down collar is a great going out option when you don’t need to wear a blazer because you can tuck this shirt in without having excessive amounts of fabric hanging out of the sides (which is one of the biggest struggles when wanting to only wear a button-down). I also grabbed a chunky two-toned grey scarf because you can never have enough oversized scarves to keep you warm all winter long. The two tones give a high-fashion vibe and add a pop to the solid …

the truth about short sleeve button -downs

I think it is very difficult to find a short sleeve button-down shirt that fits really well. Many are either too baggy in the torso that have extra fabric hanging off the sides or too long and hit the leg at an awkward length. Also many of the designs on these types of shirts look outdated and old. H&M has never failed in producing modern and stylish short sleeve button-downs that fit the body perfectly. Their colors are perfect for the summertime and these types of shirts make great day-to-night transition pieces. For this look, I paired my shirt with a medium wash pair of denim rolled up to the ankle (a cuffed ankle is a great way to wear a dressier shoe in a more seasonally relevant way) to highlight one of my favorite types of shoes: oxfords. These brown suede shoes are the perfect addition to dressing up your look while still maintaining a laid back vibe. I threw on my new pair of mirrored lens Ray Bans as the final touch to …

Day at the Museum

Sometimes living in NYC, you get caught up in the daily grind and forget to stop and enjoy the incredible city around you. I had been wanting to check out the Museum of Natural History (my favorite museum in New York) so spent the day touring different exhibits. The coolest section of the museum is the dinosaur exhibit where I was able to not only look at real bones and fossils of the reptiles but also touch one – I can now officially say I have touched a real dinosaur!  The forest and marine life sections were also really interesting to see, and fueled my desire to go whale watching even more! It was the perfect day at the museum and after hanging with the dinos all day, I think it’s time to watch Jurrasic World again?   *Wearing the H&M summer line
