The Tommy DiDario Collection

When luxury tie company David Fin asked me to collaborate on a collection, I jumped at the opportunity. Ties are an article of clothing that everyone needs. Whether it’s to wear at work, a special occasion or an evening out, having nice ties in your closet is a necessity. What I love about David Fin is that the fabrics are sourced from Como, Italy, but the ties are handmade in New York City. The same quality of fabrics from the same mills as fellow high end designers are used in the creation of these pieces, but are one third of the price. My collection was created for the fashion-forward guy who isn’t afraid to take a risk. Meet my designs below: The Urban Gentleman: Designed for the working professional who likes to leave a lasting impression, this handcrafted-in-NYC tie is a trendy way to dress up your suit. The Life Of The Party: Give people something to talk about at the next party you are at with this reversible tie.The Winter Chill: Embrace the chilly …

Vintage Inspired Swimwear

There is nothing like escaping New York City during the winter and heading to a tropical oasis, ditching puffy jackets and infinite layers for a collection of swimwear. On my recent trip to Hawaii, I took a few bathing suits from Mr. Turk, a company I recently discovered from the explore page on Instagram. I am very particular when it comes to bathing suits because so many fit awkwardly – too baggy, too long, too short, too wide, etc. I also have bigger quads, but a slimmer waist so finding trunks that fit proportionately can sometimes be a daunting challenge. This is why I love Mr. Turk! The swimwear is made for the athletic guy and is designed to accentuate all the right areas. Many of the bathing suits are vintage-inspired and are available in multiple lengths so that you can wear whichever you are most comfortable in.The vibrant colors and geometric patterns add a playful element to your swimsuit collection and the soft fabrics feel comfortable against your skin – especially when wet after taking a …

Oxygen Blast

Being someone who sometimes struggles to get enough sleep during the week, I am constantly keeping my eyes opened for products that help me feel energized and refreshed. A recent discovery of mine is the Oxygen Facial Flash Recovery Mask by Dr. Brandt. After the first use, my skin instantly appeared smoother and brighter.Let me start by saying that the application process of this mask is fascinating. First, apply a thin layer of the mask to your damp skin and leave on for three to five minutes to allow the oxygen spheres to fully activate. During the activation, your skin will tingle as the mask bubbles and then almost fully dissolves. You will see and feel the treatment working with this mask instantly and once you rinse your face off, the top layer of your skin will be radiant. Tired skin is now re-energized, your face is deeply hydrated giving you a well rested and younger appearance, and the oxygen helps protect your skin from pollutants on a go-forward basis. You can purchase the mask …

Hawaii: Part 2 – Kauai

After a few days in Maui, it was time to escape to our other favorite island, Kauai. Kauai is one of the most secluded islands of Hawaii and is nicknamed “The Garden Isle,” due to the untouched tropical rainforest making up most of the land. This is the location where Jurassic Park was filmed so you can imagine how lush and green this island is. Dramatic cliffs, hidden waterfalls, and overgrown trees fill the (sometimes unfinished) streets of Kauai creating the feeling of being lost in nature – something refreshing coming from the concrete jungle of New York City.We checked into one of my all-time favorite hotels in the world: The Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa. The moment you walk into this hotel, a picture-perfect view of palm trees and ocean greets you. Most of this hotel is built with open courtyards as the outdoor concept of the resort makes their guests always feel connected to the nature surrounding them. The hotel’s pools are exquisite. A lazy river takes you from the top of …

Hawaii: Part 1 – Maui

It’s hard to put into words why I love Hawaii so much. Hawaii isn’t just another tropical paradise. It is an enchanting oasis where mountains meet ocean, a place in which nature makes you feel so incredibly small. You become one with the water, the land, and the people. The first chapter of our trip began in Maui where we stayed at the Marriott Maui Ocean Club. We checked into a beautiful one-bedroom villa with views overlooking the ocean. The villa had a full kitchen (perfect for stocking up on local favorites like a peanut butter coconut spread and macadamia nut chocolate), a private balcony and a washer and dryer, which came in handy after a few nature excursions! The resort itself has an open-air concept that allowed the fresh air and beauty of Maui to always surround us. The multiple pools were relaxing and grand, built through grottos and stone waterfalls just feet away from the beach. But what I really loved about this hotel was the location. We stayed in the heart of the …
